DEADLINE TO SUBMIT PACKAGE: JANUARY 5, 2021
The UBC International Scholars Program offers three awards:
- Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow (KMILOT) Award
- Donald Wehrung International Student Award (DWISA)
- Vantage One Excellence (VOE) Award
The KMILOT Award and DWISA are open to students who meet UBC’s admission requirements for direct entry to an eligible undergraduate degree. The VOE Award is offered by UBC Vantage College for academically outstanding international students who do not yet meet the English language admission standard for direct entry to UBC.
A student must be nominated for a UBC International Scholars Award by their school guidance counsellor or administrator.
A single high school, college, or university may nominate up to:
- Two students for the KMILOT Award for UBC Vancouver
- One student for the KMILOT Award at UBC Okanagan
- One student for the DWISA at either campus
- Three students for the VOE Award
A student may be nominated for only one International Scholars award. International Scholars award nominees will not be considered for UBC’s merit-based awards, including Outstanding International Student Awards and International Major Entrance Scholarships.
